Privacy Notice

Last Updated: April 2025

Introduction

MyEdSpace, Inc. ("MyEdSpace," "we," "our," or "us") operates an online platform that provides live mathematics instruction and related educational services to K–12 students across the United States. We are committed to protecting the privacy of students, parents, and other individuals who interact with our website and services. This Privacy Notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have regarding your information.

By accessing or using the MyEdSpace website or enrolling in any of our programs, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice. If you are enrolling a child under the age of 13, we ask that a parent or legal guardian review this notice on the child's behalf.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information in several ways: directly from you when you create an account or make a purchase, automatically through your use of our platform, and from third-party services that support the operation of our business.

Information you provide directly includes your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, payment card information (processed by our payment processor), the name and grade level of the enrolled student, and any communications you send to us. When registering a student, we may also collect information about the student's current academic level so that we can place them in the appropriate course.

Information collected automatically includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited on our site, time and date of your visit, and clickstream data. We may collect this information through cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies. Live class sessions may be recorded for quality assurance and academic review purposes; participants are notified before any recording begins.

Information from third parties includes data from payment processors, identity verification services, and analytics providers. We do not purchase personal information from data brokers.

How We Use Your Information

MyEdSpace uses the information we collect to deliver and improve our educational services. Specifically, we use personal information to:

process your enrollment and payment transactions; schedule and deliver live class sessions; communicate with you about your subscription, upcoming classes, and course materials; respond to inquiries and provide customer support; personalize course recommendations based on a student's grade level and progress; send administrative notices such as receipts, policy updates, and security alerts; analyze usage patterns to improve platform performance and the quality of instruction; detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity; and comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

We do not use student personal information for targeted advertising, nor do we sell student data to third parties for commercial marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize returning visitors, remember preferences, and gather analytics data. Essential cookies are required for the site to function properly. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our pages so we can improve the user experience. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent; however, some features of our platform may not function correctly if cookies are disabled. We do not respond to browser-based Do Not Track signals at this time, but we honor opt-out requests made under applicable state privacy laws as described below.

Sharing of Personal Information

MyEdSpace does not sell personal information. We may share information with third parties only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We work with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, cloud hosting, video conferencing, customer support software, and email delivery. These vendors are contractually required to use personal information only as directed by MyEdSpace and to maintain appropriate security measures.

Legal compliance and protection. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process; when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of MyEdSpace, our users, or the public; or to respond to a government authority's lawful request.

Business transfers. If MyEdSpace is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

Children's Privacy

Our services are designed for K–12 students and are purchased and managed by parents or legal guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Account registration is completed by a parent or guardian, who provides enrollment information on behalf of the student. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without proper consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@myedspace.com so we can promptly remove it.

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that triggers notification obligations under applicable law, we will notify affected individuals as required.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Account information is generally retained for the duration of the subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter to handle billing inquiries or disputes. Session recordings are typically retained for up to twelve months. You may request deletion of your personal information as described in the section below.

Your Privacy Rights Under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grants you specific rights regarding your personal information. These rights include:

Right to Know. You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.

Right to Delete. You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law (for example, information we are required to retain for legal compliance or to complete a transaction).

Right to Correct. You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. MyEdSpace does not sell personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Accordingly, there is no sale or sharing of personal information from which you need to opt out.

Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.

To exercise your rights, please submit a request by email to privacy@myedspace.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with an extension of an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary). You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require written proof of the agent's authorization.

California residents may also exercise their rights by contacting us by mail at the address listed in the Contact section below.

Privacy Rights for Residents of Other States

Residents of certain other states (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others) may have similar privacy rights under their respective state laws, including rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses of personal information. MyEdSpace will honor verifiable requests from residents of those states to the extent required by applicable law. Please contact us at privacy@myedspace.com to submit a request.

When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the MyEdSpace platform after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised notice.
